Caring for Estonia's forests — and for the people who will tend them.

We are the association of Estonia's forestry students: a non-profit community that brings future foresters together in the field, the laboratory and the lecture hall, so that sustainable forestry is learned, practised and passed on.

About Us

A student society with deep roots

Eesti Metsaüliõpilaste Selts is a registered non-profit association (registry code 80155159) based in Paide, Järva County. Our members are students and young professionals of forestry, ecology and related sciences who share a commitment to the long-term health of Estonian forests.

All official communication of the Society takes place through our own domain, foreststudents.bond, and our official address, info@foreststudents.bond. Both belong solely to the Society and are tied directly to its entry in the Estonian register of non-profit associations.

Our Mission

To foster sustainable forestry practice, support forestry students in their academic and professional growth, and promote the conservation of Estonia's forest and wetland ecosystems through education, research and hands-on fieldwork.

Our Vision

An Estonia where every generation of foresters leaves the forest richer than they found it — where ecological knowledge, professional skill and civic responsibility grow together, and where students are trusted partners in shaping the future of the landscape.
