Our activities follow the rhythm of the academic year and the seasons of the forest.
Regular visits to state and private forests, harvesting operations and forest management units. Members observe modern machinery, discuss silvicultural choices on site and learn directly from practising foresters about planning, regeneration and ecological safeguards.
Visits to university laboratories in forest ecology, wood science and soil research. We help members find mentors, take part in ongoing studies and present their own work to peers.
Summer and autumn expeditions to bogs, mires and protected areas, combining habitat observation, trail work and discussions with conservation specialists.
Practical sessions on tools, measurement, mapping, safety and other professional skills that complement formal education.
We host and visit forestry student associations from other countries, take part in international student meetings and share Estonian forestry culture abroad.
Open lectures, school visits and community events that explain sustainable forestry and conservation to a wider audience.
